Well, it's been a busy few weeks. My wife has been very unwell and I had to work from home for a few days to look after her. I am lucky at this moment in time to be able to do so. I have also managed to grab my camera and get a few usable pictures that will be uploaded soon. As with everyone else trying to get things together for Chrismas. This time of year is tinged with more than a bit of sadness for myself and my wife as we lost a lot of our family over the years at this time of year. I hope the time off will get me the chance to start going through my older pictures and getting them uploaded here. I downloaded my flicker account and that has given me around 1200 pictures to work my way through! So please keep coming back, as there will be uploads a plenty! All the best, and thanks for taking the time to read this.

As I said in my last post, I've had a busy few weeks. My wife and I managed to get two nights in York, Yourshite, England. I'm now working my way through the photographs I took, and over the next few weeks, you will be able to see the output. I hope you enjoy them as much as I did taking them. It felt so good getting back to using my Nikon D5100.
Thanks to all that have been checking in. I hope you can see an improvement.

I hope I find you all in good health and with less stress and bad luck than I have had lately.
It's been a busy few weeks/months since my last post and not for the good.
Illness of both myself and my wife, along with work and home commitments including a screwed up heating/hot water boiler and locking myself out of my new laptop (a long story involving a Dell BIOS update and a three hour telephone call), has meant that I've not updated my blog or photo's as much as I should, or would like.
Add to this a loss of a large number of photographs taken over a number of years and well it's not been the best of time lately!
We have just returned from a two-night stay in York and I'm looking forward to showing you all the results. Over the next few days' s/weeks, I will start uploading the best of the large number of photographs I took. It may take a little time as I can only work on the few hours a week at the moment.
As Christmas is fast approaching, and I will be working up to and including Christmas eve I will take this opportunity to wish you all a safe time and that you and the ones you love the best of health in all aspects.
If you are still at a loss for that different present have a look at what I have and if you want anything modifying just for you let me know very soon to ensure it gets to you on time.
All the best and check back soon.
Bye for now.

Well since my last post the following has happened. I have made my first sale (woohoo) of this item https://tony-hulme.pixels.com/featured/waves-crashing-against-rocks-torremolinos-2019-tony-hulme.html?product=throw-pillow-16-16
Secondly, I have today taken receipt of my brand new 15inch Dell XPS laptop, so looking forward to getting Affinity Photo installed and start getting creative!
Check back soon and you should see some further work and new styles on the site.
Bye for now, my you and the ones you love stay safe and healthy.

Well, I have just done what must of you will have done. Worked for days on editing photographs and backing them up to a "safe" location e.g. an external hard drive. Only for it to fail while writing and taking not only to items you have worked, but everything you have on the disk!
After hours of trying to get anything off the drive (downloading software, taking the thing apart etc.) I then had to say good-bye to years of pictures.
I then went off into a darkened room, cried a lot, asked how stupid could I be? I then vowed that this would be the last time!
Before you ask, yes it had happened to me a few years ago, so I got a couple of drives to copy across, however when the first dive died the data never got to the second one. So I do have a few on the second drive, but they are not complete or up-to-date. How dumb can a person be?
I have now come staggering into the 21st century and bought myself some cloud storage.
I went with the guys below, as they give you a one-off lifetime cost that I could afford, so if you are looking around for the same have a look, it will not cost you anything and may save a few tears.
